Hadar Cohen

Hadar Cohen is an Arab Jewish scholar, mystic, and artist devoted to spiritual liberation through self-knowledge, relational weaving, and direct experience of God. A tenth-generation Jerusalemite with ancestral roots in Syria, Kurdistan, Iraq, and Iran, she teaches through Malchut, her global multi-religious mystical school, where Jewish mysticism, embodiment, psychology, healing, and contemplative practice come together. Through her writing, teaching, retreats, and podcast, Hadar explores how spirituality can become a living practice of personal and collective transformation.

Hadar's work is grounded in the belief that faith and justice belong in conversation with one another. She is committed to reviving the theological, political, and cultural wisdom of the Andalusian tradition while creating spaces where people can cultivate a direct relationship with Spirit and one another. Drawing from diverse lineages, contemplative traditions, and lived experience, she seeks to nurture communities rooted in healing, liberation, and sacred belonging.

As an Acosta Institute Fellow, Hadar looks forward to learning alongside others who are exploring the intersections of healing, leadership, education, and social transformation. She hopes to contribute a perspective rooted in spirituality while deepening conversations about how faith, justice, and relational practice can help create a more liberatory world for all.
