Betty Arrington
Betty Arrington is an educator, trainer, and mindfulness practitioner who believes meaningful change begins with grounded, authentic relationships. With a Master of Education in Social-Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, and Yoga through Breathe For Change, and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, Betty has dedicated her career to supporting early childhood professionals through equity-centered, relationship-based learning. A certified Hatha and AfroFlow Yoga teacher, she integrates mindfulness, movement, and culturally responsive practices to cultivate resilience, reflection, and authentic leadership in the communities she serves.
Betty's leadership is rooted in the belief that the way we care for ourselves shapes the way we care for others. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to helping individuals and communities heal, lead, and flourish together through compassion, self-awareness, and intentional connection. As a proud mother of four women and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The Phenomenal Women Empowerment Alliance, she intentionally weaves together family, service, and professional practice as expressions of one shared purpose. Her own journey of learning to balance self-regulation with new ways of connecting to others continues to inform the way she leads and supports those around her.
As an Acosta Institute Fellow, Betty looks forward to growing alongside a community committed to healing-centered leadership and lifelong learning. She hopes to deepen her practice of authentic leadership while contributing her experience in mindfulness, equity-centered education, and relationship-building to a collective vision of creating more compassionate, resilient, and thriving communities.
