Shaina Glass, M.Ed

Shaina Glass, M.Ed., is an educator, connector, and contemplative leader whose work lives at the intersection of equity, design, and transformation. For two decades, she has championed accessible computer science education—first as a technology applications and STEM program director expanding CS instruction for over 65,000 PreK–12 students in Texas, and now as Director of Education at the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), where she develops transformative professional learning experiences for educators nationwide. She believes deeply that equitable education is both a right and a pathway to collective liberation.

At her core, Shaina is a thought partner and creative strategist who thrives in spaces of curiosity and connection. She brings a unique blend of design thinking, historical awareness, and deep listening to her work, often describing herself as a bridge-builder—someone who notices strengths in others before they do and helps weave those strengths into shared learning communities. Her journey is informed by both discipline and imagination, grounded in the belief that leadership is a relational act of care.

Through the Acosta Institute Fellowship, Shaina hopes to deepen her contemplative leadership practice and explore how design, music, and community connection can serve as tools for healing. She is drawn to the fellowship’s “slow work” philosophy and to being part of a reflective community that values rest, creativity, and emergence. Through this experience, she seeks not only to refine her professional vision, but to reimagine how education itself can be a practice of healing, equity, and belonging.
