Munire Bozdemir
Munire Bozdemir is a globally-minded educator, storyteller, and cultural bridge-builder. With roots in Turkey and a professional journey that has taken her through the USA and China, Munire brings a rich tapestry of intercultural experience to everything she does. She currently teaches Storytelling, Digital Storytelling, and Intercultural Communication at Juniata College in Pennsylvania, while also leading community open mic events and intercultural workshops for diverse audiences.
Her work is grounded in a belief that stories have the power to inspire cross-cultural empathy and imaginative possibility. Munire is developing a startup that creates interactive digital stories with educational goals, designed to help people of all ages dream beyond societal boundaries. Her projects are rooted in the values of community, healing, and honoring the "öz"—a Turkish word for one’s essence or spirit—which she seeks to center in both her creative and professional life.
As a Fellow, Munire is excited to explore healing-centered frameworks that support relational, non-extractive ways of working and being. She brings a vision of education that is as emotionally resonant as it is intellectually rich, and hopes to contribute her global experience, storytelling practice, and entrepreneurial curiosity to a collective exploration of what it means to teach, lead, and connect in today’s complex world.
