Maamoun Tobbo

Maamoun Tobbo is an architect and experiential designer whose work lives at the intersection of space, storytelling, and live experience. Having lived and worked across cultures and cities, his approach to design is shaped by a deep curiosity about how environments hold people—emotionally, physically, and socially. Through architecture, scenography, and immersive design, he explores how light, rhythm, texture, sound, and movement can transform a space into something meaningful, creating experiences that help people feel, connect, and remember in new ways.

Professionally, Maamoun leads projects from early concept through execution, translating complex ideas into clear spatial systems where atmosphere, structure, and human journey come together with both precision and imagination. His work spans the United States, the Middle East, and Europe, ranging from intimate installations to large-scale cultural and brand experiences. Alongside his design practice, he founded Vessel, a neuro-somatic leadership platform that helps leaders and teams strengthen presence, resilience, trust, and conflict repair through embodied practices and practical tools for navigating high-stakes environments.

Through the Acosta Institute Fellowship, Maamoun enters a space where creativity, leadership, and human development can deepen together. He brings a systems-oriented mindset and a collaborative spirit, often helping translate big ideas into something structured and actionable. During the Fellowship, he hopes to continue exploring how design, embodiment, and leadership practices can work together to support transformation—creating environments where individuals and groups can communicate more clearly, navigate complexity, and build cultures grounded in presence and trust.
