Dorit Cypis
Dorit Cypis is a visual artist, educator, and transformative mediator whose work spans decades and disciplines, all grounded in a deep commitment to healing, identity, and social connection. Through performance, immersive installations, and photography, Dorit explores the complexities of history, embodiment, and the politics of relationality. Her artistic and pedagogical work has shaped countless learners in college classrooms, high schools, and community spaces—including as founder of Kulture Klub Collaborative, which connects artists with homeless youth to nurture self-expression and leadership.
As a conflict mediator and facilitator through her platform, PeoplesLab, Dorit designs and leads transformative dialogue rooted in somatic awareness, empathy, and deep listening. Her practice bridges critical self-reflection with interpersonal and collective engagement—inviting people to embrace their differences as sites of possibility, not division. Dorit’s work interweaves art, education, and justice, creating spaces for repair, reconciliation, and creative emergence.
In the Fellowship, Dorit brings a lifetime of insight and a commitment to building bridges between worlds—between disciplines, identities, and generations. She is excited to be in community with others who value healing and transformation, and to continue exploring how art, embodiment, and dialogue can reshape how we live and lead together.
