Desiree Aspiras
Desiree Aspiras is a therapist, educator, and facilitator who weaves creativity, mindfulness, and care into every aspect of her work. Through her private practice, Truth and Courage Counseling, she supports individuals and couples in navigating life’s complexity with intention and grace. She also teaches master’s-level counseling and family therapy students, preparing the next generation of healing practitioners with a focus on presence, courage, and systemic awareness.
Certified through MNDFL as a mindfulness instructor and trained in peak performance coaching through UCSD’s mPEAK program, Desiree is passionate about integrating contemplative practices into both personal healing and social transformation. She is slowly cultivating the Deep Breath Network—a project devoted to inner work and mindfulness in community—and is also the founder of Deep Breath Press and Printmakers Against Racism, where her art and activism meet through letterpress and printmaking.
As a Fellow, Desiree is excited to deepen her exploration of how creativity, courage, and contemplative practice can be tools for both personal and collective liberation. She brings to the cohort a calming presence, a visionary imagination, and a powerful commitment to healing as a communal act. Her work holds space for hope, meaning-making, and the quiet revolutions that begin within.
